SALEM, N.H. — Like so many young men, he was drawn to poker through television.
“Watching the pros, I decided to learn about the game,” says this local 18-year-old athlete. “I love to compete. I do pretty well.”
He has bankrolled his “hobby” by winning as much as $500 in one day of playing Texas hold ‘em at Rockingham Park, he says.
His losses in one day of playing poker have never reached $200.
“I play only what I can afford,” he insists.
