The Poker Players Alliance (“PPA”) Privacy Policy applies to information collected on or through the PPA web site at theppa.org (“Site”).

I. Personal Information We Collect About You

“Personal Information” is information through which you can be identified. Personal Information that PPA may collect from you includes, but is not limited to, your name, date of birth, street address(es), e-mail address(es), telephone number(s), fax number, gender, and other information that you voluntarily provide.

“General Information” is information about you or your activities through which you cannot be identified. When you use the Internet, your web browser or client software may transmit certain information to the servers that host the web sites you visit. The information may include the unique number assigned to your server or Internet connection, the capabilities and features of your computer, your geographic location, and your movement within and interaction with the web site including what pages you look at and what information you download. When you visit PPA’s Site, our servers collect such general information that we may use to generate aggregate statistics about visitors to Sites. PPA may link General Information to Personal Information that we collect about you.

II. How We Use The Information That We Collect

PPA may use the Personal Information and General Information that we collect: (1) to respond to your inquiries; (2) for own own marketing purposes; (3) to notify you regarding certain events or news; and (4) to to respond to your inquiries, complaints and other communications.

Except as provided in this Privacy Policy, PPA will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any Personal Information obtained through the Site without your consent. PPA may disclose Personal Information: (1) to comply with a court order, subpoena, search warrant or other legal process; (2) to comply with legal, regulatory or administrative requirements of any governmental authorities; (3) to protect and defend PPA, its members, officers, directors, employees, attorneys, agents, contractors, and partners, in connection with any legal action, claim or dispute; (4) to enforce the terms of use of the Site; (5) to prevent imminent physical harm; (6) to businesses that PPA may use for purposes of performing functions on behalf of PPA, such as companies that process credit card transactions; and (7) in connection with the sale, assignment, or transfer of all or substantially all of PPA’s assets.

VI. Site Security

General Information and Personal Information that PPA collects is stored on secure servers in a world class data center. All transactional pages are protected by Verisign’s highest-grade SSL certificate encryption. The secure servers are protected by firewalls and other standard security procedures. The secure servers are not accessible by unauthorized third parties, but could become accessible in the event of a security breach. PPA has no control over the security of the computers or other electronic devices and means you use to send e-mails and submit information to PPA over the Internet.

VII. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last revised on April 11, 2007. PPA reserves the right to change, modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. When the Privacy Policy is changed, modified and/or amended, the revised Privacy Policy will be available at the Site. Any revised Privacy Policy will only apply prospectively to Personal Information collected or modified after the effective date of the revised policy. Customers are responsible for periodically checking the Privacy Policy.
