Police made 33 arrests and confiscated thousands in cash in a raid last Tuesday night on an alleged gambling operation in Shelbyville, authorities said. One of those arrested was a Franklin County woman.
Participating in the raid were the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Shelbyville Police Department, the 17th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
According to the TBI report, a search warrant was executed at approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday on a building located at 101 Tillett Circle off Madison Street in Shelbyville where waning signs were posted to “keep out.”
Inside, investigators said, they found four commercial poker tables each with room for 10 players plus a dealer, adding that there were more than two dozen players, one security guard, four dealers and two promoters.
